Alice & Bob is a Paris-based quantum computing startup pioneering cat qubit technology for fault-tolerant quantum computers. In January 2025, raised €100 million Series B led by Future French Champions (Qatar Investment Authority + Bpifrance partnership), with total funding reaching €130 million.
May 2025: Announced $50 million advanced quantum laboratory in Paris with Quantum Machines and Bluefors - one of Europe's most advanced QPU development facilities. Will enable next-gen chip series: Lithium, Beryllium, and Graphene.
September 2025: Plans to hire 100 new employees by mid-2026. November 2025: Named to Sifted's 'Future 50' (only quantum company on list) with 417% CAGR.
Selected for French Tech Next40 in June 2025 (first quantum company in program) and France's PROQCIMA quantum initiative. Technology milestone: Boson 4 chip achieved 7+ minute bit-flip lifetime. Strategic goal: build useful quantum computer by 2030 using cat qubit technology requiring thousands vs millions of qubits for error correction.
