Antaris

Antaris is a digital space platform company founded in 2021 and headquartered in Los Altos, California, simplifying the design, simulation, and operation of satellites. In March 2024, Antaris partnered with SpeQtral to jointly deploy quantum-safe key distribution satellites, integrating SpeQtral's quantum payloads with Antaris SatOS space vehicle software and partner bus platforms. The partnership expects to deliver the first customer spacecraft to orbit from as early as 2026, enabling commercial quantum-secure satellite communications. Antaris brings expertise from Planet Labs, Microsoft, Diamanti, CoreOS, and AMD to quantum space communications. The company raised $14.16 million to develop its satellite operating system and quantum payload integration capabilities. Antaris serves government agencies, defense organizations, telecommunications operators, and commercial satellite operators requiring quantum-safe communications from space for critical infrastructure protection.
