About BQSKit
Berkeley Quantum Synthesis Toolkit (BQSKit) is a powerful and portable quantum compiler framework developed at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. BQSKit is an optimizing quantum compiler and research vehicle combining ideas from several LBNL projects into one easily accessible and quickly extensible software package. Stands as end-to-end compiling solution by combining state-of-the-art partitioning, synthesis, and instantiation algorithms. Uses unique strategy combining circuit partitioning, synthesis, and instantiation to optimize circuits far beyond traditional optimizing compilers. Incorporates QFAST, QSearch, LEAP, and QFactor software tools. Available for Python 3.8+ on Linux, macOS, and Windows. Free and open-source with BSD license, available on GitHub and PyPI. Version 1.2.0 released September 2024, version 1.1.2 released April 2024.
2025 Developments: The company continues to enhance its quantum software platform and developer tools in 2025. Focus remains on improving algorithm efficiency and expanding use case applications. Active engagement with the quantum developer community drives product evolution.
