BTQ is a Canadian post-quantum blockchain company founded in 2021 that develops quantum-resistant blockchain technologies and distributed ledger systems designed to remain secure against quantum computer attacks, creating post-quantum cryptographic implementations for blockchain networks, cryptocurrency systems, and decentralized applications, providing quantum-safe blockchain solutions, post-quantum digital signatures, and quantum-resistant consensus mechanisms that enable blockchain and cryptocurrency systems to maintain security and integrity even when cryptographically relevant quantum computers become available to adversaries. In October 2025, BTQ Technologies announced the first successful demonstration of a quantum-resistant Bitcoin implementation using NIST-standardized post-quantum cryptography, with their Bitcoin Quantum Core Release 0.2 replacing vulnerable ECDSA signatures with ML-DSA to protect the $2.4 trillion Bitcoin market from quantum attacks projected to emerge by estimated 2030.
