Equal1 is an Irish quantum computing company that developed Bell-1, the world's first silicon-based quantum computer server and the first Irish-made quantum computer, using Quantum System-on-a-Chip (QSoC) processors integrating quantum and classical transistors on CMOS-compatible silicon.

October 2025: Secured €13.7M DTIF grant for QUBIC project. November 2025: European Space Agency (ESA) selected Bell-1 for deployment at Φ-Lab in Italy under QC4EO programme. October 2024: Signed collaboration agreement with NVIDIA for quantum-classical infrastructure. May 2025: Partnership with CeADAR to advance Quantum-AI infrastructure. June 2024: Partnership with Irish Centre for High-End Computing.

Total funding: $11.6M from Enterprise Ireland, Atlantic Bridge, 808 Ventures, Btov Industrial Technologies, plus €10M EIC grant. Partnerships with Arm and GlobalFoundries for silicon spin qubit scaling.
