G42 (Group 42 Holding Ltd) is an Abu Dhabi-based artificial intelligence development holding company founded in 2018, chaired by Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan from the UAE ruling family. G42 focuses on AI development across government, healthcare, finance, oil and gas, aviation, and hospitality sectors, with partnerships expanding into quantum computing. The company has formed quantum partnerships with Microsoft ($1.5 billion investment in April 2024), IonQ for quantum computing access at Abu Dhabi's Quantum Research Center, D-Wave, and explored quantum potential through its subsidiary Inception Institute of Artificial Intelligence. In May 2025, G42 announced the Stargate UAE partnership with OpenAI, Oracle, NVIDIA, SoftBank, and Cisco to build a 5GW AI campus in Abu Dhabi. G42 is backed by world-class investors including Mubadala, SilverLake, Microsoft, and the Dalio Family Office, positioning UAE as a quantum and AI technology hub.
