About

December 2024: Unveiled Willow 105-qubit chip - performed computation in 5 minutes that would take supercomputers 10 septillion years. First chip to reduce errors as qubits scale.

October 2025: Published Nature paper demonstrating first 'verifiable quantum advantage' using Quantum Echoes algorithm. Runs 13,000x faster than best classical algorithm on world's fastest supercomputer. Applied as 'molecular ruler' with UC Berkeley for NMR spin-echo simulations.

Willow specs: 99.97% single-qubit gates, 99.88% entangling gates, 99.5% readout fidelity. Nearly 10 billion error correction cycles without error. T1 coherence ~100 microseconds (5x improvement).

February 2025: Led $230M investment in QuEra Computing with SoftBank. Acquired Atlantic Quantum (MIT spinout) for modular chip architecture. Expanded quantum error correction research with academic partners.

Roadmap: Building toward cryptographically relevant quantum computer (CRQC) requiring millions of components. Focus on surface code optimization and logical qubit performance.
