Groovenauts is a Fukuoka-based company and one of Japan’s preeminent quantum pioneers, founded in 2012 by Eihiro Saishu and Kumiko Sasaki. The company developed MAGELLAN BLOCKS in 2016, a cloud service that enables companies across industries to use AI to solve hard business problems. In 2019, Groovenauts released the world’s first business optimization service using the D-Wave 2000Q quantum computer via the cloud, allowing customers to solve problems in scheduling, route planning, and more. More than 3,800 companies use over 12,500 AI models through Groovenauts. Notable projects include optimizing retail shifts in 130 stores across Japan and waste collection route optimization in Tokyo’s Marunouchi area with Mitsubishi Estate. MAGELLAN BLOCKS enables anyone, regardless of technical background, to harness the power of quantum computers.
